Birth Planning & Comfort Measures Workshop
One Love Doula Services aims to provide the coping skills and knowledge to ease the stress and anxiety of labor with our Birth Planning & Comfort Measures Workshop. Studies show that being educated and well prepared for birth results in a lower stress environment for everyone involved, including your baby as he/she makes the journey into this world. Having a birth plan empowers the birthing person to be informed of all options and helps ensure their wishes are acknowledged during what can be an emotional and overwhelming time. Adding comfort measures to your arsenal will further aid in a more comfortable and smooth progression of labor for both you and baby.
As a Registered Nurse, Doula, Childbirth Educator, Certified Lactation Consultant, mother of five, and owner of One Love Doula Services, Yamel Belen has countless experience navigating both her own and clients’ labors and births. She understands the fear of the unknown when walking into your birth, the wish of having your voice heard amongst the commotion, and the anxiety of what pain may come. And she knows firsthand how having a plan and tools at your disposal helps make the whole emotional, beautiful experience of giving birth that much more magical. Helping people during this special time and bridging the gap between the experts and new parents – making birth planning accessible to everyone – is the driving force behind Yamel and One Love Doula Services.
