ownerAs a doula Yamel sees her role as one to provide support and guidance throughout the prenatal, birth and postpartum period. Experienced as a Registered Nurse with years of Pediatric case management work, among other skill levels.
Yamel began her journey in birth work when she was 10 years old, her mom experienced precipitous labor at home, and emergency services were slow to arrive. She quickly went to her mother’s bedside and kept help calm until help arrived to their Brooklyn family home.
Certification doula and placenta preparation training with Barefoot Birth Midwife; Charlie Rae Young was all necessary to kick Yamel’s childhood passion into full gear and be better equipped to support One Love families. Additionally, Yamel has furthered her education in the areas of Childbirth Education with Common Sense Midwifery School, holistic postpartum training via Barefoot Herbals and Certified Lactation Counselor with the Healthy Children Project. Yamel serves at Tampa Bay Birth Network Vice President and is married to her Highschool sweetheart; together they have five kiddos.Yamel Belen, RN, CLC, doula
After the birth of her 1st child, Gaetane realized the importance of educating herself on childbirth, breastfeeding, and antepartum care. She became a labor doula and realized soon after birth, most families lack antepartum support. After the birth of all 4 of her children, the elder women of her family cared for her thoroughly for months and knew that was not the case for many. She is a postpartum doula and Certified Lactation Counselor that has years of experience working with families of multiples and preemies. Gaetane would love to make your transition into parenthood as smooth as possible.Gaetane Joseph, Doula, CLC

Mandy is a fierce advocate for empowering women to feel safe, secure, and strong during their birth experience and focuses on education and service to support the transitions that occur during the postpartum journey.
