Sisterhood in Birth: Celebrating the Power of My Doula Team
The One Love Doula team is thriving, and I couldn’t feel more grateful to be part of such an inspiring group! Recently, we came together for our annual retreat, and when I say I haven’t laughed so hard or felt so rejuvenated in ages—believe me, it was pure joy.
Each year, our leader and Founder, Yamel Belen, hosts a retreat to honor the hard work and dedication of her doula team. This year was extra special for me as it was my first time joining the festivities, and it was nothing short of magical.
A Day of Bliss at Cielo Spa
Yamel treated the entire team to a luxurious spa day at Cielo Spa in South Tampa, where we were pampered with massages, facials, and mani-pedis. It was a day of total relaxation, filled with laughter, heartfelt conversations, and moments of pure bliss. We left feeling refreshed, renewed, and even more connected.
Singing, Dancing, and Feasting at Grand Fortune
The celebration continued the next evening at Grand Fortune Restaurantin Tampa, where we had our very own private karaoke room. The drinks were flowing, the authentic Chinese cuisine was incredible, and the vibe was electric. We sang, danced, and celebrated not just as a team but as a family.

Why I Chose One Love
For me, joining the One Love Doula team was an easy decision. I wanted to be part of a family of doulas who uplift and support one another while continuously growing and learning together. This team does exactly that we lean on each other, celebrate each other’s wins, and share a deep passion for the work we do.
Writing this post is my way of honoring my doula sisters and the dedication they show not just to the families we serve, but to each other. Joining this team has been one of the best decisions I’ve made, and I’m so grateful for the love and community I’ve found here.
