Annual Tampa Doula Retreat by One Love Doula Services
The annual One Love Team Retreat is our way to say thank you to the team for all their hard work and dedication to Tampa Bay families and further develop our team! By investing in our doula team, we continue to create quality experiences. Our mission for 2022 was to provide the best possible services for birth planning, pregnancy support, doula services, and postpartum services and to hold hands with families and help them achieve their goals in the most holistic way possible.
We have created a lot of informational resources for our clients and social media audience this past year! We even re-launched our virtual childbirth education course which is revamped with new material, videos and resources; we removed all the fluff and are giving students all they need to know to step into their birth full of confidence and with less fear of the unknown. But at this time of year (during our retreat), it’s time to turn our focus to our teammates and connect one-on-one.
Tampa Doula Services’ Year in Review
2022 was our year to continue to serve the community, as well as build on our education and expertise. The fact that we were able to return to even in person support meant the world to us after navigating through 2021 with semi in person services and a large amount of virtual doula support (which we still offer by the way!). Our team of experienced doulas in Tampa have the never-ending passion to serve others, and we are eternally grateful to be allowed back into your spaces.
Through the year, we continued to enhance our doula services in Tampa. We listened to our clients and we revamped our packages and included even more to these services based on the feedback we gathered. By having curated packages our clients not only get the support of an experienced Tampa Doula but they also receive perks such as access to our internal digital library with hand picked and vetted evidence based articles and bundled services for cost savings.. We continue to have a huge focus on helping people create a birth plan. A birth plan is how you communicate your wishes to those caring for you during your labor and after the birth of your baby – whether that’s a birth doula, doctor, or your partner. Every birth is a unique experience. Creating a birth plan empowers you to become informed of all your options during labor.

Head 2 Toe Pediatrics is the first and only full service pediatric house-calls practice in the Tampa Bay area providing families with accessible, knowledgeable and friendly board-certified pediatricians. Keel & Curley Farms are dear friends of the One Love Doula family! They are known in the Tampa Bay area for their beautiful winery and restaurant, plus their amazing wines sold all throughout the area. Jennifer Benoit has over 15 years of experience in the mental health industry, has worked with a diverse group of people. She has provided therapy to mothers experiencing perinatal and postpartum depression through a specialized curriculum known as Moving Beyond Depression. Jennifer is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-focused therapy, Trauma-focused CBT and certified as a Life Coach.
Our soul sister over at Wild Flowers and Milk showered the team with gift boxes filled with goodies. Sadie, the owner of Wild Flowers and Milk has played a huge part in the success of One Love by always supporting our founder as a fellow female business owner but also by sending love to the team. Sadie is a Photographer, Videographer, Content Creator, Business Consultant, Breastmilk Jewelry Artist and more! Besides one of a kind breastmilk jewelry Wild Flowers and Milk offers stickers, tees, tanks and hoodies and affirmation cards.
We cannot say thank you enough for the overwhelming amount of support provided to our Doula Team as they support families during the most precious time in their lives.
Together We Achieve More-TEAM
Besides enjoying outdoor massages, sunrise yoga provided by Black Yoga Mom we also took the time for team development by taking the time to review case studies of challenging births and what we can do as professional doulas to further assist families, as well as discussing in detail how we can elevate postpartum care for Tampa Bay families.
Our team enjoys loads of fun and fellowship during our annual retreat but we also dedicate time to educate and share our gifts with one another so that our clients can benefit. Furthermore, we had fun learning some techniques with The Birth Sling which we can bring to births in our doula bag. The Birth Sling is a tool which helps for upright and active labor positions, upright and active labor positions contributes to 25% decrease in cesarean risk.
